Pure is one of the material-research projects by Desz, the designer intends to give waste paper new life via re-design and re-make technique. The project speculates an popular alternative for paper-recycling practice in the nearly future.

 

Pure ’s  mounting form method use the traditional technique – make shape with water and stick ,in China and Japan it been called “落水Luo shui”, by these means the traditional paper becomes artistic decorative effect and has the toughness.

 

The designer has turned the waste paper pulp into solid material through traditional paper making method and using water impact technique, it has decorative curved boundary and hollow patterns, which resemble ancient Chinese exquisite porcelain. In terms of visual perception, the paper is gentle and natural, including decorative patterns and shapes. This is the original idea of this work.
