About
BO ZHANG is a New York–based entrepreneur, designer, and curator, and the founder of Desz Office. He studied Industrial Design at the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan and earned an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
His practice explores the intersection of **materials, craftsmanship, culture, and contemporary product design**, guided by a philosophy of creating original works that foster both visual and emotional connections with people.
Zhang’s work has received international recognition, including honors from **Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards** and the **NYCxDESIGN Awards**, as well as finalist recognition in the **Ro Plastic Prize** during Milan Design Week. His work has also received recognition through the **German Design Awards** and has been exhibited at major international design events including Milan Design Week, Paris Design Week, Dutch Design Week, NYCxDESIGN, ICFF + WantedDesign, Design Miami, and Singapore Design Week.
In 2023, As co-founded Bo established RE/CRAFT， which has been explained the value of sustainability, culture and craftsmanship to society, the environment and the public through its products. RE/CRAFT finds the balance between sustainable materials, industry, functionality and social value.
RE/CRAFT works with the International Art Foundation and the International Design Association to promote more meaningful design to serve the public through experimental research and results display.Organizations and institutions that have collaborated with RE/Made include NYCxDesign Festival, ICFF, Dutch Design Foundation, Isola, Pairs Design Week, 3Days of Design, BCAF, and D5 Magazine.
