About
Bo Zhang ,Entrepreneur ,Designer ,Curator. He studied Industrial Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, Italy ,and studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design, USA, where he obtained a Master of Fine Arts. In 2020, Bo founded Desz Office at NYC.
"Make creations which never before" is Desz unchanging philosophy. Creativity and originality are the most solid foundations on which his works can be recognized and loved. He believes a good artwork should be sentimental, have a soul, not a cold entity, but a wonderful interaction with people. This kind of interaction has both a visual level and a spiritual level, giving people inspiration and yearning.
Desz has received international recognition for his outstanding originality, unique work. The work won the “Honoree of Best Of Year Awards by Interior Design Mag, the NYC X Design Awards by NYCxDesign Festival, and was selected the finalist of Ro Plastic Prize during Milan Design Week 2023. nominated by the German National Design Council in 2022 , the German Design Awards "Excellent product" Design". The works are invited to be exhibited at Milan Design Week，Paris Design Week， Dutch Design Week, ICFF & Wanted Design in New York Design Week, Design Miami，Beijing International Design Week and other art institutions.
In 2023, As co-founded Bo established RE/Made， which has been explained the value of sustainability, culture and craftsmanship to society, the environment and the public through its products. We find the balance between sustainable materials, industry, functionality and social value.
RE/Made works with the International Art Foundation and the International Design Association to promote more meaningful design to serve the public through experimental research and results display.Organizations and institutions that have collaborated with RE/Made include NYCxDesign Festival, ICFF, Dutch Design Foundation, Isola, Pairs Design Week, 3Days of Design, BCAF, and D5 Magazine.
